Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Chat2Card browser extension and this website. By using either, you agree to them.

These terms govern your use of the Chat2Card browser extension and this website. By using either, you agree to them.

Acceptance of terms

By installing the Chat2Card extension or using chat2card.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the product.

The service

Chat2Card is a tool that converts text you provide — such as Markdown or selected webpage text — into card images on your device. We provide it “as is” and “as available”, as described further under Disclaimer.

Licence and use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension and website for lawful purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the extension except as permitted by its open-source licence where applicable.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Chat2Card to:

  • Break any law or infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy.
  • Generate content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or misleading.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the extension or website.
  • Use the product to extract or harvest data from other people without consent.

Intellectual property

The software, templates, text and design of Chat2Card are owned by Chat2Card or its licensors. You retain all rights to the content you create with the tool; the cards you generate are yours to use as you wish.

Your content

You are solely responsible for the text and images you process with Chat2Card. Because processing happens locally on your device, we do not receive or store that content.

Disclaimer of warranty

The product is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of defects.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chat2Card shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the product. Our total liability, where it cannot be excluded, is limited to the amount you paid to use the product (which is zero for the free extension).

Termination

You may stop using Chat2Card at any time by uninstalling the extension or leaving the website. We may suspend or block access if you breach these terms, though in practice the extension runs locally and cannot be remotely disabled.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as the product changes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The “Last updated” date reflects the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, China, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
